Whale Shark Adventure - Summer
Enjoy a superb day off from scuba diving and add another unforgettable adventure to your memories.
The whale shark is the biggest fish on earth. It can grow up to 15m/50ft! In summer, plankton blooms on the north-eastern tip of the Yucatan peninsula where the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean merge. Near the islands of Holbox and Contoy, the plankton attracts an incomparable amount of this giant species.
While whale sharks feed, moving gently on the ocean's surface, you can safely snorkel with them (if you dare) or watch them from the boat. Specially trained and experienced guides are on hand to brief you about applicable regulations and procedures in order to ensure these peaceful animals are not harmed.
