Under the crystal clear waters, visitors will find one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, with an impressive array of tropical fish darting about, including marine turtles and sting rays.
The water temperature (78-85 F, 25-30 C) and clarity (with a visibility of 20 to 40 meters), allow for scuba diving all year round. The depth of the dives is usually between 10 and 30 meters and, because of the presence of ocean currents in the Cozumel channel, each dive is done by the technique of drift diving.
Playa del Carmen is becoming a worldwide well-known diving destination because of the impressive tropical fish concentration surrounding the wonderful coral reefs. Besides meeting with turtles, sting and spotted eagle rays, green and spotted morays, nurse sharks are very common.
Tank-Ha Dive Center has two scheduled dives every day, weather permitting. Certified divers should be sure to bring proof of certification. Tank-Ha also offers expert dive instruction in diving for all levels, including one day introductory courses. Should rough weather close the port in Playa del Carmen, divers can try freshwater cenote cavern diving anytime and enjoy a diving experience unique to the Yucatan.

Morning Two Tank Dive Playa del Carmen
Morning dive trips leave from the Tank-Ha Dive Center every day of the week. Meet for the morning dive at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM departure. The boat will return around noon. Please reserve at least a day in advance.
We use fast, twin engine, fully equipped (VHF radio, oxygen and first aid kit) boats. Maximum 8 divers. Guided dives.
Navigation time to the furthest destination: 20 minutes.
Diving Profile: 1st dive: 80 to 100 feet (24 to 30 meters); 35-40 minutes surface interval; 2nd dive: 40 to 50 feet (12 to 15 meters).

Afternoon One Tank Dive Playa del Carmen
Afternoon dive trips leave from the Tank-Ha Dive Center every day of the week. Meet for the afternoon dive at 1:30 PM for a 2:00 PM departure. The boat will return around 4:00 PM. Please reserve at least a day in advance.
We use fast, twin engine, fully equipped (VHF radio, oxygen and first aid kit, fresh water shower) boats. Maximum 8 divers. Guided dives.
Navigation time to the furthest destination: 20 minutes.
Diving Profile: 30 to 50 feet (9 to 15 meters)

One Tank Night Dive Playa del Carmen
Experience the reef at night. You will see the different sea life that is active at night. Please reserve at least a day in advance.
